About me
Hello! My name is Luan. I'm doing my Master's in Information Systems
at the University of Cologne.
Since July 2024, I've been working as a student in software
engineering at
Explicatis GmbH, where I contribute mainly to the frontend of an ERP system while
continuously expanding my backend skills in Java and Spring Boot. My
goal is to grow into a strong full stack profile.
What I enjoy most is working with a team to turn ideas into real
applications and seeing how technology can solve problems directly
and help people.
When I'm not at the computer or studying, you'll probably find me at
the gym. That's often when the solution to a bug I've been stuck on
suddenly clicks.
How I work

I like working with teammates, throwing around ideas, and making sure we bring in different perspectives for the final solution.
Development
I care about writing clean, maintainable code that not only performs well and scales, but also creates a smooth experience for users.
Requirements
Before I start coding, I like to get a clear picture of the goals by asking questions and making sure I understand what's needed. That way I can turn ideas into real steps and build something that actually fits the users' needs.

ReadIt: A community platform (Full Stack Learning Project)
A forum where users can create posts and comment, developed with React and Java. The project focuses on learning full-stack development fundamentals such as REST APIs, JWT authentication, and state management. This project is still in development and planned for deployment in the near future.

Capstone Project
A web application that allows students to select their preferred partner universities for the MESS Bachelor’s exchange semester. Developed as a full-stack web application using React, Java Spring Boot, and MySQL, the project focuses on frontend to backend integration, RESTful API design, and database management.

A team project where we worked with real datasets and explored them using Python. Together, we cleaned, prepared, and analyzed the data with Pandas and NumPy, and created visualizations using Matplotlib. I also helped build an interactive Streamlit dashboard that presents the most important metrics and insights in a clear way.
